Two-Day Painting Retreat/ Workshop on Vancouver Island

This weekend will include:

  • two full days of painting and professional & personalized instruction with Magda Johnson

  • all studio material (easel, medium canvas, apron, sketch book, gloves, paints, brushes, etc)

  • two brunches, two afternoon graze tables and a late afternoon wine happy hour paired with light snacks

  • a completed med. sized painting (by you inspired by the view) worth hanging in your home

  • an intimate & cozy location with stunning views set in the Lantzville foothills

  • a weekend full of connection and creativity

    Cost: $1100.00 CAD per person

    A deposit of $550 will be required to secure your spot upon registering

    Early bird registration $950 CAD for the first four to register

    To provide an intimate and focused experience, this retreat/workshop will be limited to 12 participants. *No painting experience is needed to enjoy this fabulous weekend*

  • Please note: accommodation is not included as this is not an overnight event, however, should you need it I’m happy to provide local recommendations.

Nestled alongside the Lantzville Foothills on Vancouver Island, you’ll be welcomed to The Reverie, a private home with breathtaking views that inspire the moment you arrive. In this serene, intimate setting, you’ll relax, unwind, and let your creativity flourish. Drawing on over 15 years of teaching experience, I bring the same passion for guiding, inspiring, and nurturing creativity to the world of art for all levels. With personalized, step-by-step guidance, you’ll explore techniques from my artistic practice while developing your own unique expression. Your day begins with a freshly brewed cup of tea or coffee and a guided sketching session, followed by a leisurely brunch as we enjoy and capture the surrounding scenery—laying the foundation for a painting that is entirely your own and with your own chosen palette and canvas size that suits your home. Every moment is thoughtfully designed to nurture your creativity, deepen your skills, and leave you refreshed, inspired, and connected to both art and the island.
