Standing tall, steadfast, strong — always there — serving as the iconic sea-stack of Stanley Park, Vancouver facing the West. I do believe in the unspoken yet felt energy a places like this holds. A presence you feel when you step into a space you’ve either missed or that has taken your breath away. I feel that it’s no coincidence I seek out these comforting places to continue painting. Vancouver has always been my home, and while I don’t get a chance to walk the sea wall enough when I happen to be in the city, it still and forever will be a significant place I hold near and dear to me. We may grow up, move, change careers, and our relationships may evolve, but the places which live within our memory will always stay the same.
